UKIHCA Strategic Perspectives
The health and care landscape rarely stands still. New frameworks, funding models, workforce strategies and system reforms emerge continually, and each carries implications for professional health coaching that are not always immediately obvious. Our Strategic Perspectives are where we do that interpretive work, so our stakeholders do not have to.
A Strategic Perspective differs from a white paper or a position paper. Where a white paper explores a topic in depth to inform the reader’s own conclusions, and a position paper sets out UKIHCA’s formal stance on an issue, a Strategic Perspective analyses an emerging policy, workforce or system development and explains what it means for professional health coaching. These publications interpret policy rather than advocate for specific policy changes; they are intended to help commissioners, employers, NHS leaders, policymakers, partners and members understand a shifting landscape and where health coaching fits within it.
Each Strategic Perspective is a focused, evidence-based read, addressing a specific development and its practical implications for the profession, employers and the wider system.
